Tax-deductible Not Tax-deductible ...

Are Your Donations Tax Deductible?

That depends upon what you choose to have your donation used for.

       Donations to the Life Center, our state and federally
       recognized non-profit corporation for the organizations
       general use are tax deductible.

       Donations specified to be used by The Pro-Truth Team
        for guaranteeing women's reproductive rights are
        not tax deductible.

The difference is due to the use made of the money. The Pro-truth Team is in the political arena while The Life Center's function is, to use the legal words, "For Religious Purposes Only."

Since nobody can clearly define what a religious purpose is, that term is subject to broad and varying interpretations. Although, the evidence clearly indicates that preserving abortion rights is a religious issue, attempting to influence legislation is very much a political matter. Thus we sit on both sides of the fence; however, to avoid any potential problems, we simply say that donations to The Pro-truth Team are not tax deductible.

The Life Center is a state and federally recognized non-profit organization; therefore, we must adhere to the governmental rules set forth which guide what TLC can and can't do. We are not a business that sells products. Although we are technically a Church, we must still run our ministry with the same care and expertise that any profit- oriented business uses. We function solely on generous donations from people like you. And, offering free gifts to our donors is just one of our ways of saying thank you for you financial support.

The Pro-Truth Team:

We also have a separate and independent project (The Pro-Truth Team) which deals with the abortion controversy as a religious issue. We created this team for several reasons.. Because The Pro-Truth Team functions in the political arena, this group is completely separate and donations for that project are not tax deductible.
