Page Summary We don't want to dwell on negativity, but the first step in getting somewhere else is to figure out where you presently are. To put it bluntly and to face the truth: . Present pro-choice strategy
is simply not working. Holding picket signs on street corners and shouting at passing cars is not going to save abortion rights. Marching on the streets in Washington and sending letters to politicians who already know our pro-choice position is not going to save abortion rights. Instead of actively participating in the 2004 presidential campaign, we see no public activity and hear only silence from the pro-choice leaders. If that’s the best we have to offer, then we need to get ready for coat hanger abortions. . |
