2004 -- A Vote For God or a Vote for the Devil

Facing the Problem:

In the 2004 Presidential election, twenty-two percent of the electorate voted for what they believed to be the candidate with the highest moral values. In reality, these people did not vote for moral values. They voted for a bastardized version of fundamentalist Christian theology. ^1** Most of these people were mindless believers in conservative Christian theology and and ardent followers of their church leaders. They voted with their minds turned off. They voted exactly as their leaders told them to vote. They voted against abortion rights, against gay rights, against stem cell research. ^2**

In mindless obedience, and without the slightest bit of consideration for what the evidence tells us, they voted for Mr. Bush. That evidence tells us that Mr. Bush is not a genuine "born again" Christian. His behavior and the company he keeps tells us that he is one of the Christian-talking, atheist-acting, self-centered multi-millionaires who, behind the scenes, own the structures that control the Republican Party. The evidence tells us that he's the front man (the public spokesperson) for this group of self-centered, multi-millionaire atheists.

Instead of being a genuine born again Christian, he's one of "the wolves disguised in sheep's clothing." But please don't believe me. Instead believe these words: "By their fruits you shall know them." Simply examine the evidence below in the section titled: What Did the Mindless Sheep Actually Vote For?

In essence, that twenty-two percent of the electorate voted as they were told God wanted them to vote. Was it really God's wishes they voted for? Or is it possible that they were duped by the Devil? Let's look beneath the convenient and misleading label, "moral values," and examine what the evidence tells us. There are three places to look for that answer:

What the Twenty-two Percent Thought They Voted For?

They voted:

Against abortion rights,

(They voted for forcing of women to become mothers against their will.)

Against gay marriages,

(They voted for denying people equal legal rights based solely on their private behavior in their own bedrooms.)

Against stem cell research.

(They voted for threatening medical researchers
with a million dollar fines and years in jail for using
otherwise to-be-destroyed embryonic stem cells
for promising and vitally needed research.)

They voted:

For ignoring the First Amendment of the United States Constitution
For displaying Christian symbols on public property,
For using public school funds to pay for Christian schools,

They voted:

For Christian prayers in public schools,
For supplanting scientific data on evolution with Christian theology
For the marriage of (the Christian) church and state.
And they voted for funneling millions of your tax dollars into the coffers
of right wing, conservative, Christian organizations. (See the complete list in the section below.°

Anti-gay:

The anti-gay campaign is clearly religious in nature. We say that because with rare and minor exceptions, anti-gay supporters are conservative Christians. The Bush people have inflamed and still are inflaming this issue at every opportunity.° They peddled and continue to peddle anti-gay fear and bigotry. They came out with and still propose a Constitutional amendment against gay marriages. The true intention of their anti-gay rhetoric was: "Vote for Bush."°

How can denying people equal legal rights based solely on their personal, private behavior in their own bedrooms be a moral value?

We need to pull the gay marriage issue out of the voting booth and the proposal on our web page titled, Is Marriage For Heterosexuals Only? ° tells you exactly how to do that.

Anti-choice: (Forced Motherhood)

Opposition to abortion and opposition to stem cell research are also religious issues but their religious basis has been cleverly hidden behind a well-orchestrated "spin-the-truth" campaign° -- a campaign based on an antiquated religious fairy tale called God's Conception Magic Act.° The page of our web site titled, The Truth About the Anti-abortion War -- The Case for Choice° outlines clearly and specifically how dethrone the anti-abortion movement.

Well, all the above may sound nice to some people, BUT in their blind obedience to their leaders, the vast majority of conservative Christians have no idea what they really voted for.

What Comes with Milk? As an analogy, when you buy a cow for the milk it produces, you have to buy the entire cow, all that comes with it, and everything it produces. Symbolically speaking, our mindless Christian friends bought a entire herd of cows. They completely ignored (and still are ignoring) everything about the cows except the milk.

That would have been okay if they were the only ones who had to live with the cows. But we live in a large shared community. Much of our space is mutual-user space, and like it or not, our mutual space is now filled with cows, cow pies, a plethora of flies, and an overwhelming aroma that you won't find in the Estee Lauder perfume section of your favorite department store.

Now dropping the cow pie analogy and
getting back to real life, in tangible terms,
the section below lists few of the things
that came to all of us because the Conservative
Christians voted for "moral values."

What Did the Mindless Sheep Actually Vote For?

1) They Voted to Destroy the Middle Class:

* They voted for more tax cuts for the wealthy.

* They voted to send your job to India or China so that somebody with more money than he can spend in thirty lifetimes could make a few dollars more.

* They voted for the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.

* They voted to cut social services and to close desperately needed health clinics.

* They voted for the assets in thousands of American corporate retirement accounts to be stolen by the government- endorsed, Enron-style accounting.

* They voted restrict bankruptcy proceedings for the middle class while leaving huge loopholes for the wealthy.

* They voted for more poverty which brings with it more crime, more gang violence, and the call for more police and more restrictions on individual freedom.

* They voted to transfer millions of your tax dollars into the coffers of ultra-conservative Christian organizations.

* They voted exactly as their leaders told them to vote.

* They voted exactly as their religious leaders told them to vote.°

2) They Voted for Crime, Misery, and Poverty:

* They voted to continue allowing 40,000, innocent children to starve to death each day° or die of curable diseases.

* They voted for the legal sale of assault weapons .

* They voted to cut benefits for service men and women fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

* They voted to continue an Unrealistic Anti-drug Policy -- a policy that is responsible for 7o% of all crime in the U.S. -- a policy that supports a multi-billion dollar police and prison industry. They Voted to keep up the price of illegal drugs outrageously high so that the people with the lowest ethical standards (the drug peddlers) are also the wealthiest people on the planet.

* They voted exactly as their religious leaders told them to vote.°

3) They Voted for still More Government-sanctioned
Sleaze, Graft and Corruption:

* They voted for government agents to be able to do anything they want to do and then hide behind government imposed secrecy. (This includes the ability to falsify election results.)

* They voted for the wildest, most irresponsible government spending spree in all of human history. They voted for a man who has his head in economic Disneyland.

* They voted for the greatest financial deficit in the entire history of the American Republic.

* They voted for George Bush and then they let him count the votes using secret computer programs that were under the control of ultra-conservative, rightwing multi-millionaires.

* You voted for the team that spent $18,000,000 investigating Bill Clinton's sex life in an attempt to destroy his presidency.

* You voted for a whole raft of sleazy mudslingers. Karl Rove stands out as a shining example of immoral, mind-bending manipulation° Rove is the master mind behind "Resident" Bush and the sleaziest, dirtiest, foulest smelling, campaigning in all of American political history.

* They voted exactly as their religious leaders told them to vote.°

4) They voted for an increase in Environmental Destruction:

* They voted for the last three percent of our virgin forests to be cut down.

* They voted for agents of the coal, oil and gas industry to pretend to be safeguarding your environment.

* They voted to destroy forever, dozens of pristine natural environments that are absolutely irreplaceable.

* They voted for still more industrial, oil-drilling and mining-related pollution, including more contaminated waterways and contaminated drinking water.

* They voted to save the coal burning electricity producers from having to spend the one percent of their gross revenues that it would cost for them to stop dumping tons of mercury and other poisons into the atmosphere -- mercury which then rains down onto and into everything-- lakes rivers, animals, fish, and eventually into humans.

* They voted to poison their own children's and grandchildren's drinking water with additional even more toxic levels of mercury. Mercury is very damaging to the brains of fetuses and young children.

* They voted for the world to be gutted of its natural resources and turned into a garbage dump.

* They voted for the birth of Still More Humans in an already overcrowded world.

* They voted for the man with the most dismal environmental record of any president in modern history -- a man who ignores and/or refutes respected and verified scientific findings that stand between his multi-millionaire friends and more profits .

* They voted to ignore every single one of the dozens of now undisputable signs of global warming.

* They voted to increase the human birth rate. They voted for human overpopulation which is causing global environmental disasters of proportions not seen since the demise of the dinosaurs. In the face of this already-in-process disaster, they voted for the anti-abortion promoters who are denying the existence of a population problem and who are proposing the birth of still more people.

* They voted to increase the species extinction rate on Earth above the estimated present level of one per hour - - that is 24 extinctions each and every day, 168 extinctions per week, 720 extinctions pre month, and 8,760 extinctions per year. That’s an extinction rate equaled only by the demise of the dinosaurs. And, as you well know, EXTINCTION IS FOREVER!)

* You voted to increase the political power and influence of ultra-conservative Christians who believe that wars, chaos, and calamities are good things because they will bring The Rapture° that much sooner.

* They voted exactly as their religious leaders told them to vote.°

5) They Voted for Safety at the Expense of Liberty:

* They voted for John Ashcroft, Carl Rove, Tom DeLay, and Dick "the vice" Cheney .

* They voted for the so-called "Patriot Act" which gives broad sweeping powers to government agents.

* They voted exactly as their religious leaders told them to vote.°

6) They Voted for More Benefits for Multi-millionaires:

* They voted for our congressmen and senators to be bought, owned and controlled by big money interests.

* They voted for no billionaire to ever be left behind.

* They voted for the godless, self-centered multi-millionaires who, behind the scenes, own the structures that control the Republican Party. They voted to give more power and money to the men who control:

the international oil cartels,
the banking industry,
the tobacco peddlers,
the insurance industry,
the legal drug peddlers,
the illegal drug peddlers,°
the media cartels,
the pharmaceutical industry, and
the military hardware industries.

They voted exactly as these men wanted them to vote.° Can you find even one of these people who, in his heart cares about "moral values?"

* They voted exactly as their religious leaders told them to vote.°

7) They Voted for War and Violence As the Only Way to Solve Problems:

* They voted for $200, 000,000,000 (two-hundred billion dollars) of our tax dollars spent making war in a foreign country.

* They voted for still another 1,000 Americans to die in Iraq.

* They voted to keep our military overextended and thus make our country very vulnerable to a major attack from a foreign nation.

* They voted for installing the non-functional star wars nuclear defense system.

* They voted for the son of former President George Bush Sr. In 1991, George Sr. had U.S. forces thirty four kilometers (about twenty-one miles) for Saddam Hussein's palace. To the delight of those who sell military hardware, George Sr. stopped their advance and allowed Hussein to remain in power.

Had daddy done his job, the present war in Iraq would never have happened. Hundreds of thousands of lives would have been spared. Literally Billions of your tax dollars would not have gone to the military industrial complex.

Imagine where we would be today if that $200,000,000,000 had been spent on research to find and alternate energy source that was neither fossil fuel or nuclear. For a peek into the hidden side of the Bush Dynasty, see the page titled: Let George Do It.°

8) They Voted for Bigotry And for Making Religious Fairytales the Laws of the Land:

* They voted for forced motherhood.

* They voted for a coat hanger abortion system.°

* They voted to force unwilling women to become mothers,° not only in the U.S., but all over the world, including places where many desperately impoverished women will have no choice but to abandon their newly-born children and allow them to starve to death or be eaten alive by a stray dog or a wild animal. (How can promoting such cruel and mindless behavior be called "pro-life?")

* They voted to use government laws which use intimidation, violence or the threat of violence to force everybody to live by a religious fairytale.°

* They voted for censorship.°

* They voted for the global gag rule° which is about as far as one can get from sanity and freedom of speech.

* They voted for hypocrisy.°

* They voted for anti-gay bigotry.°

* You voted to destroy the delicate balance between church and state set up by our Founding Fathers.°

* They voted for the creation of a Christian theocracy in America°

* They voted for the marriage of Church and Sate. The following quote is from Jay Bookman, Deputy Editorial Page Editor for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

"There is no case in recorded human history, regardless of era or culture, in which religion and government have been intertwined without eventually compromising basic human freedoms." (Quote printed in the (Los Angeles Area)

* They voted for a distorted and bastardized version of fundamental Christian theology.

* They voted with their heads high up in that place where the sun never shines. They voted for fundamental Christian theology. They voted voted with their minds turned off. They voted out of fear.

* They voted exactly as their religious leaders told them to vote.°

But then, none of this matters, anyway, because they voted as God told them to. And besides, "the rapture" is coming soon, and they will simply be lifted off what's left of the Earth and into heaven to be with Jesus.

So let's all kneel now and praise the Lord!
A born again, reformed sinner is finally in the White House.

And one final question: If there is such a being as The Devil,° who do you suppose he wants in the White House?

Seventy Percent:

Here are a few things about the 2004 presidential election that you might find interesting:

1) With seventy percent of the entire nation favoring stem cell research, we wonder why the most progressive state in the union (California) passed the stem cell research initiative by only fifty nine percent, particularly when John Kerry and John Edwards out-scored bush by fifty six percent to forty-four percent.

3) Thirty percent of the voters cast their votes for Kerry or Bush on electronic, computer-controlled voting machines which were designed, manufactured, and under the control by ultra-conservative rightwing multi-millionaires.

4) With these computerized voting machines there was absolutely no way to verify their accuracy. There was absolutely no way to recount the votes.

5) The programs for these electronic computer voting machines were created in secret by a very few men. These computer programs were extremely complex. The programs were never examined by anybody except the people who wrote the programs and ultra-conservative rightwing multi-millionaires who controlled the people who wrote these computer programs.

6) As anybody who has had any significant experience with computers can tell you, computer programs are neither completely reliable nor dependable, and they certainly are not tamper proof.

7) Control of the united States government, hundreds of controversial laws, and Billions of dollars were at stake in the 2004 presidential election.

8) The self-centered multi-millionaires who own the structures that control the Republican Party had the means, the motive, the opportunity to rig the 2004 presidential election and they had the ability to get away with it.

9) George Bush keeps the company of and and/or is advised by men such as Carl Rove, who's track records are filled with sleaze and dirty tricks.

10) The evidence tells us that Mr. Bush is not a genuine "born again" Christian. His behavior and the company he keeps tells us that he is one of the Christian-talking but atheist-acting, self-centered multi-millionaires who, behind the scenes, own the structures that control the Republican Party. The evidence tells us that he's the front man (the public spokesperson) for this group of self-centered, multi-millionaire atheists.°

11) Every electronic voting machine that malfunctioned, malfunctioned in favor of George Bush.

Now all this is not to say that the 2004 election was rigged, but if you had to guess that it was or that it wasn't rigged , and your life depended on you choosing the correct answer, on which side would you bet your life?

"In July 2002, the Bush administration refused to release $34 million voted by the Congress for the United Nations Population Fund. In 140 countries of the world, UNFPA does nothing but help mothers survive childbirth and plan their families the way the great majority of us do. It plays an integral role in United Nations' efforts to reduce AIDS and educates against harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation and early marriage. It is present in refugee camps preventing rape and violence."

Female Genital Mutilation:

The World Health Organization estimates that about 140 million girls and women alive today have undergone female genital mutilation.

One of the justifications for this type of child abuse is that the men believe that amputation of the clitoris of a woman will reduce her sexual desire and make her more likely to be chaste and faithful.

But again, we say, "Don't believe us. Examine the evidence." Type "female genital mutilation" into any search engine and read the reports for yourself.
