    Distinguishing Leaders from Followers:  

In educating the public on the forced motherhood issue, we need to make a clear distinction between two groups of people:  1)  the honest, loving caring people who oppose reproductive rights based on the information that they have been told by the anti-choice leaders, and  2)  the anti-choice leaders, themselves.   This distinction is explained in detail on the page titled:  Leaders Versus Followers.°  

    Re-educating the Public:  

In approaching the abortion controversy, our goal is to re-educate the public, to show them the distinction between what the evidence tells us and what they have been led to believe.

Our goal is to get as many people as possible to stop supporting forced motherhood and instead,  get them to shift their focus onto caring for babies that are already born.°   Because the main  opposition to reproductive rights comes from conservative Christians, we need to say this in emotion-laden, Christian language.   Here's the essence of our job stated in born-again Christian language:   "We need to get God off their side.  We need to get God to support our side."   

Our job is to point out what the Bible really tells us, what Catholic theology tell us, and what  clergy in other religions tell us about when an independent human life begins.

We need to educate the public about what is actually happening when they support forced motherhood.

    The No-choice Followers Are Also Good Guys:  

One aspect of this process is to demonstrate to the anti-choice followers that we understand how they are good, Christian, every-day kind of folks just like us.   The only difference is that they have been lied to, manipulated and conned  by the less-than-honest, anti-choice leaders.   We sympathize with their victimhood and invite them to join our family because our family will tell them the truth and keep them safe.   Joining our family will also cause God to forgive them for not seeing the truth sooner.
