    Caught in Their Own Lies:

Here's a strange fact about lies and about   the telling of false stories that you may not be aware of.   The quote from Adolph Hitler, "Tell a lie often enough, loud enough, and long enough, and people will believe you." applies to the liar as well as to his intended target.   

There's a part of the human psyche that tends to accept that which is repeatedly put into the mind.   As a result, the peddler of lies very often reaches a point where he/she believes that his/her lies are actually the truth.    Very frequently, loving well-meaning people get caught in these false stories and perpetuate them.

    The Classic Example of this Occurs in Religion.  

Unless the reason for life on Earth is totally unknowable, there are only three possible answers to the Why-life-on-Earth? question -- Christian one-life-ism, reincarnation, and atheism.  

Because each of these assumptions contains one or more major components that are in direct conflict with the other two, only one of these three assumptions can possibly be an accurate representation of Earth-plane reality, and at least two of them must contain major false beliefs.   This means that significant pieces of two  of the Earth’s major religious philosophies must be fantasy creations — products of the believer’s collective imaginations.   

In spite of this evidence, literally billons of people believe  (and tell their impressionable, pre-age-of-reason children)  stories that simply do not make any sense.   Why?   Because in this example, they, themselves believe that they are telling God's truth.   Most of these people accepted these unprovable stories  because that's what their parents believed.   

Please remember that, in this example, there are no Hitler-style bad guys.   There are simply well-meaning people telling stories that they, themselves, believe to be true.   Why do they believe these stories are true?   Because when people hear a false story often enough, loud enough, and long enough, they believe that it's true, particularly if:  1)   there are not being exposed to any alternative stories, and 2)  their minds were programmed to believe these stories before they reached the age of reason (about age seven).   

And besides,  "billions of people believe that their religion is the one and only truth. Therefore their religion must be the one and only truth."   But wait a minute!   Isn't that the same logic the inspired millions of people believed that the Earth was flat?

    The Master of Lies:  

Nobody can prove with absolute certainty whether or not there is an evil being called "The Devil,"  but if there were and if we got him to describe himself, here's what he'd probably tell you:  

Let me assure you that any preconceived notions you may have about who or what I am --  about how I might look or act are totally false.   I am the greatest master of disguises, lies, illusions, cons,  and manipulations your world has ever seen.   I am an actor extraordinaire.   I could win Academy Awards Oscars for best actor, best actress, best supporting actor, and best supporting actress all at the same time, and never break a sweat.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, expects me to be who I am.   Nobody expects me to look as I look.   Nobody expects me to act as I do.   Humans are incredibly easy to scam because they rarely ever think for themselves and because they have a ridiculous, cartoon-character image of me as an idiot with horns and a pitchfork.   So long as I don’t look like that cartoon character, or look otherwise grotesque, most humans never see me coming, and here's why.

Lies, deception, and cons are my games.   Depravity, Sleaze, and Corruption, are my middle names.  Trickery, fraud, and hoaxes are my calls to fame.   I could sell snake oil to a snake oil salesmen, so don’t try to second-guess me or put any expectations between us.   I guarantee that, if you do, you’ll not only be wrong, you’ll also miss the essence of what I have to offer you.

If you'll think for just one moment, it will become obvious to you that no devil worth his salt would ever come out as an evil one.   All I have to do to create havoc and destruction here on Earth is to disguise myself as a promoter of what seems like a good cause.

I simply gather together a flock of mindless Would-Be Do-Gooders, and then, from a sacred place of trust and power and in the name of righteousness or some other illusion, I shower evil upon all mankind.   

I've pulled this trick off  thousands of times in the past, and at this very moment, I'm doing it right now, in dozens of different ways, right under your noses, and the vast majority of humans simply don't see it.   

I'll give you a hint.  Look into the concentrations of power.   Look into your governments, your multi-national corporations, and your religious institutions.   Look at what they are attempting to sell you.  Look at what they are attempting to get you to believe, and follow this maxim:  "By their fruits shall you know them."   Look  under the surface facade and  see what things like:   religious fanaticism --The Patriot Act --The Federal Reserve -- the anti-abortion war, and several other strongly supported causes are actually bringing to humanity.

    A Political Witch Hunt     

Here's and example of lied of omission taken to the extreme:    

Newt Gingrich, former Republican speaker of the House of Representatives, was the leader of the Republican witch hunt against President Clinton.   Gingrich and Company  spent eighteen million dollars investigating Bill Clintons sex life in an attempt to destroy his presidency.    

At the same time this ultra-conservative anti-abortionist was condemning Bill Clinton for immorality, he was himself having an adulterous sexual affair and had already been found guilty of lying to House of Representatives Ethics Committee.

In 1997, the House voted to reprimand Gingrich and fined him $300,000.   It marked the first time the House had reprimanded a speaker.   The action was based on House Ethics Committee findings (1) that Gingrich had used tax-exempt foundation money to promote Republican goals in a televised college course he taught and in televised town meetings, and  (2) that he lied to the committee during its investigation.

An update on the Gingrich hypocrisy:   On August 12, 2004, shortly after the popular, New Jersey Governor, James McGreevey,  acknowledges that he had had a homosexual affair and intended to resign his office, Newt ( the adulterer) Ginrich was on the Fox network's Hanity and Combs talk show badmouthing  Governor McGreevey for his immoral sexual behavior and calling for his immediate resignation.   Now here's the real slime-ball behavior:

1)   Ginrich Has been found guilty of misusing tax-exempt foundation money;

2)  He was found guilty of  lying to House of Representatives Ethics Committee

3)   He's the first speaker of the House of Representatives ever to be  reprimanded,

4)   He, in essence, bought his way our of this scandal by paying a $300,000 fine.  Now he's so lily white clean that all the ultra conservatives want him spouting his mouth off their radio and TV talk shows.

5)   While he, himself was  having an adulterous affair, he was spearheading the witch hunt against Former President, Bill Clinton,

6)   He is still committing adultery today.    He divorced his wife and has married another woman,  a clear violation of the Christian values he publicly professes to follow:   
---  "... Do not commit adultery..."  Mark 10:19    
--  "... Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, 
           committeth adultery against her... "  Mark 10:11-12)

7)   And then he has balls enough to come on a TV talk show and condemn someone else's sexual misconduct.  
---  "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own
        eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote
         out of thy brother's eye."  Matthew 7:5 and  Luke 6:42
---  "... He that is without sin among you, let him first cast 
       the first  stone...  "   John 8:7

Shall we  talk about scum bags being let loose in the world.   Perhaps we don't need to.   Do you recall the line in the song "Where are the clowns?" 

"Don't you love farce?
 My fault, I fear
