Imagine Believing in a God that has 
     the Following Attributes:

According to the fundamentalist Christian forced motherhood leaders, God has some  bizarre attributes.   
Imagine a God like this:

u   Imagine that God is an angry, fickle, needy, insecure, brooding, arbitrary, wrathful, vindictive,  vengeful, jealous,  judgmental, hypocritical, and infinitely insecure.   

u   Imagine a God that says you have free will and at the same time demands specific behaviors of you.   

u   Imagine that God so weak that he could fail at getting what he wants, and he wants something from you; you don't know exactly what he wants, but if he doesn't get it from you, he'll punish you severely for all eternity.

u   Imagine a God so brutal that he sends his believers out rape, rob, pillage, plunder, and murder those who believe in a different religion.

u   Imagine a God  so weird that he  murders his own son to prove he love you.

u   Imagine a God so small He can fit inside of just one human religion.

u   Imagine a God  who murders millions of innocent  babies every year.

u   Imagine a God who tells you it's OK to sell your daughter as a sex  slave, and that it's OK for her owner to beat her with a stick as long  as she recovers in a day or so.*                                  *Reference:   Exodus in the Christian Bible

u   Imagine a God so narrow minded that he directs his followers to ignore the 40,000 innocent children who starve to death each and every day or die of curable diseases.  Instead, he sends His believers  out to spend their time, money, and effort forcing unwilling women to bear more unwanted children in an already overcrowded world.

According to the fundamentalist Christian forced motherhood leaders, God has these characteristics:

u   God is invisible.  God is Masculine.   He has a personality and a huge ego.   He expresses the following personality traits:  At times, He is angry, fickle, arbitrary, wrathful, vindictive, and  jealous.   He is infinitely insecure, needing gobs and gobs of worship and adoration.   

u   God is  intolerant, easily displeased, and prone to violence.   He has been known to engage in genocide and mass murder.   

u   He has a history of condoning  pillage, plunder, genocide, and mass murder.   At one point, with the exception of Noah and his passengers, he actually murdered every human being and every animal on the planet.   But for some unknown reason,  He didn't kill flies, mosquitoes, nats, rats, scorpions, and poisonous snakes.

u   God gave you free will.   You can exercise that free will as long as you follow all the rules.   The rules keep changing.   There are several conflicting sets of rules.   If you fail to follow the rules, you get banished to hell forever.

Reality Versus Beliefs about Reality

When we compare fundamental Christian theology against the factual evidence, we find numerous, unprovable beliefs declared to be factual truths.    

That's not to say we are right and the ultra-conservative Christian leaders are wrong.   Rather, it's to invite you to step outside of your belief box° and think for yourself.   (Know the truth and the truth will set you free.)   The evidence tells us that there's a good chance the following statement are false:

u   Christian have exclusive access to God.   All other religions are simply fairytales.

u   God can be bribed or bought off by prayers, suffering and/or by killing and burning animals.

u   Humans were created at conception.*

u   A human being is his/her physical body.*

u   Humans live only one Earth-life and then heaven, hell, or are simply abandoned forever to a place that the fundamentalist Christians won't tell us about.

Is There An Alternative View of God.

Of course!   Actually there are several of them.   Here are a few things to consider:

u  No one can say anything about "God" with provable certainty?    Consider this:   

When one contemplates this unknown mystery that we call God, there are no provable facts, only theories, beliefs, guesses, speculation, and fairytales.   Check out what the evidence tells us.

God Does not have a personality?   Not very likely.   The evidence tells us that there's a good chance the following statement are true:  

u    Humans are inherently loving, caring, compassionate.

u    Humans are a reflection on God, an image of God, a piece of God.

u    Everyone is subject to the same universal laws.

u    Everybody is treated the same.

u    The Universal Laws do not make exceptions.  

u    The Universal Laws do not play favorites.  

u    We are co-creators with the Universal Source of All.   The Three Universal Laws° are our tools of creation.

u    Thoughts, words, attitudes, beliefs, behaviors, and action produce results.   Some results are pleasant and desired, other are unpleasant and undesired.
